When I was in Oregon with my family this summer, I sailed on the Willamette River. It was a amazing.

This was not any regular Friday, I was going to my second out of town regatta.

I had left school at 12 o’clock on a Friday. My dad and I were heading to Grapevine Texas for the Grapevine Grand Prix sailing event. We got there and there and unloaded our boat.

One day I went to sailing class on my bike, to go race in a small regatta. I got to TCYC ( that is my sailing club )and met up with my team.

The Interclub Youth Racing was a “Meet in the Middle” regatta that means that you meet on the water and there is no on land meeting with the other clubs.

Spooky Sailing is something that our yacht club does every year around Halloween. This year we went out on the Rs Feva , which is a new boat that our yacht club is getting in the Spring.

Each year at the end of summer, our yacht club, TCYC, has a Labor Day Awards Ceremony.

The Turkey Day Regatta is a yearly regatta held at the Houston Yacht Club .

In early September of 2022, I went to a regatta in Fort Worth.

Cold front regatta

The Cold Front Regatta is a series of regattas that happen through October and December.

This boat is call a Ensign. It is 22 feet long and 3,000 pounds.

On my trip to Oregon this summer we stayed in Mount Hood. I went to the Columbia River Gorge for a day on our way into Portland.

Last summer we went crabbing in Nehalem Bay and we had lots of fun.
