Sailing the Willamette

July 2021

When I was in Oregon with my family this summer, I sailed on the Willamette River. It was a amazing.

I went sailing with the Willamette Sailing Club on an RS Feva. It was really different from sailing on Galveston Bay for three reasons. The first reason is that since it is a river there were very few waves. The second reason is that the wind shifted a lot because the wind was going around the buildings on the banks of the river. The third reason is that the wind died and gusted a lot due to the buildings on the banks of the river.
